Life is hard and most of the time no fun, but I have a feeling it is not supposed to be that way. That there is more and something better out there. There has got to be something to the Bible verse life and life abundantly. I think the abundant train passed me by and I am left somewhere in the desert of ‘what the hell’ and ‘you have got to be kidding’.

Last night I sat up watching the first season of Gray’s Anatomy on DVD. I love this show, I think it is one of the best written shows on TV. The last episode I watched was about a girl, literally, killing herself to please her parents. At the end of the show Meredith looks at the girl and says, “you don’t know this yet, but it is not supposed to be this hard, life is not supposed to be this hard.” Those words stuck out to me, it is not supposed to be this hard, yet every day I make choices that make it hard. Sometimes I make these decisions on purpose other times it is training other times it seems easier, but every day these choices come.

Today I looked at some of those choices and decided it was time to walk away from making life hard. Now if this was as easy as it seemed then life would be all grand, but at some point I think we all have to say enough….Life is not supposed to be this hard.
