Today I am getting ready to leave for DC in the morning. I amworking on gathering electronics, packing clothes, and getting Abbie(my puppy) ready for the sitters.

I think the hardest part about going on a trip is leaving my animals. They are my “kids” and I feel guilt and know I am going to miss them horribly. Abbie will be with a great sitter staying there at her house till I get back and the cats are staying at the house and the sitter will come out and check on them every other day.

Once I get on the road and the car is pointing in the general direction of DC I know this will be easier. Right now it is just hard to think about leaving. I am excited about the trip and know that it will be a great opportunity for me.

I will be blogging from the conference and uploading photos daily. The presidential debate is going to be exciting.

Well I better get busy packing!
